Website accessibility, addressed with care.

Technical accessibility assessment, remediation, accessible website rebuilding, and clear documentation for businesses—and for the attorneys advising them.

Beyond the scan

A clean automated scan is not the same as an accessible website.

Automated tools are useful, but they cannot determine accessibility on their own. Real evaluation also requires knowledgeable human review of keyboard access, structure, forms, focus behavior, contrast, zoom and reflow, representative assistive-technology paths, and the user journeys that matter to the business.

We combine technical testing with prioritized remediation and a documented retest. The result is a clearer record of what was examined, what was changed, and what was verified within the agreed scope and testing date.

No technical audit can guarantee that every barrier has been identified or that a complaint or legal action will not occur.

Received an accessibility letter?

Start with facts—not panic.

A private demand letter is not a court judgment, a court order, or an automatic government fine. It still deserves prompt, careful attention. Preserve the letter and relevant website records, speak with qualified counsel about the legal response, and document the website’s current technical condition before making unrecorded changes.

If a summons, complaint, or other court paper has been formally served, legal deadlines may apply. Contact qualified counsel immediately.

We handle the technical side.

Assessment, remediation, validation, and organized documentation. Your attorney handles legal advice, communications, deadlines, and strategy.

Services

Technical accessibility work with a documented trail.

Every paid engagement begins with an agreed scope. Testing and validation apply to that scope and point in time; later content, software, or third-party changes can introduce new barriers.

Free Risk Snapshot

A limited preliminary review of selected public pages and user paths, with a one-page report, a proprietary 1–100 exposure score, initial observed barriers, and a prioritized next step.

Not a comprehensive audit, legal-risk analysis, certification, or guarantee.

Defined-Scope Audit

A structured evaluation of agreed pages, templates, components, and essential user paths against selected WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria.

Remediation

Correction of confirmed barriers where platform, source, theme, plugin, and third-party access permit, prioritized by user impact, recurrence, severity, and scope.

Validation

Targeted retesting of remediated findings, with each result and date recorded for the defined scope and testing date.

Evidence & Documentation

An organized record of scope, findings, remediation actions, retest results, known limitations, and supporting evidence for the client, its developer, leadership, insurer, or counsel.

Rebuilds & Maintenance

Accessible rebuilds when repair is inefficient, plus periodic review after meaningful content, theme, plugin, integration, or platform changes.

Proprietary screening signal

1Lower observed technical exposure
100Greater observed technical exposure

Website Accessibility Exposure Score

A useful screening signal—not a legal conclusion.

The score summarizes barriers observed in the limited pages and user paths included in the free snapshot. A higher score reflects more numerous or more consequential observed technical barriers.

It is not a percentage of legal compliance, a prediction that a claim will occur, or a certification of compliance or noncompliance. It does not replace a comprehensive audit.

If the sampled review does not reveal enough technical exposure to justify a paid engagement, we will say so. That conclusion applies only to the sampled scope.

How we assess

Tools find patterns. People determine whether the experience works.

The exact scope is agreed before paid work begins. Specific scoring methodology and implementation procedures are proprietary.

  • Automated evaluation for detectable code and content patterns
  • Semantic structure, headings, labels, names, roles, and values
  • Keyboard access, focus order, focus visibility, and keyboard traps
  • Forms, instructions, validation, error identification, and status messages
  • Color contrast, non-color cues, zoom, responsive reflow, and motion
  • Text alternatives, captions, links, buttons, and document structure
  • Representative screen-reader and assistive-technology user paths
  • Third-party components and platform limitations
  • Human verification, remediation evidence, and post-remediation retesting

An anonymized California engagement

Client, claimant, law-firm, proprietary protocol, and tool-by-tool details remain confidential.

From an urgent technical problem to an organized record.

A California service business received a pre-litigation letter alleging website accessibility barriers. The Bowman Ranch Group was engaged to address the technical condition of the website—not the legal claim.

The engagement included a multi-method technical assessment, prioritized remediation, testing of representative pages and essential user paths, post-remediation validation within a defined scope, and an organized evidence package suitable for the client to share with counsel.

The final technical record documented the scope reviewed, remediation work completed, validation results, known limitations, governance steps, and a preserved post-remediation version of the site. The engagement did not determine the legal validity of the allegations, resolve the claim, or guarantee that future barriers or claims would not occur.

About

Practical technical work. Clear documentation. No legal theater.

The Bowman Ranch Group helps businesses identify and reduce website accessibility barriers through technical evaluation, remediation, accessible rebuilding, validation, and documentation.

Gaelon Swift, Founder & Accessibility Project Lead, brings a background spanning website design, technical quality review, issue documentation, root-cause analysis, and client-ready reporting. Every engagement is structured around a defined scope, reproducible findings, recorded changes, and plain-language communication.

We do not present ourselves as a law firm, an “official ADA auditor,” or an accessibility-certification body. Our role is to make the technical condition of a website more understandable, improve the experience for users with disabilities, and give the business a useful record of the work performed.
